A reminder to our Junior High Students that our High School students are writing diploma exams today in the gym and in other rooms around the school (on the High School side). We are asking that you are QUIET in the halls during class changes and at lunch time.  

Another reminder to our JH students – your exam starts today at 9:00 am. Please use the washroom and fill up water bottles BEFORE your exam starts. Asking to go to the washroom immediately or within the first hour of the exam may result in your having to wait to go as you will have an adult escort in the halls to take you to the washroom. Avoid emergencies. GO EARLY.

Text book return – Junior High students – textbook return does not happen now until Friday after your math Part B exam (not before). High school students, you may still return your books anytime. 

We are not printing ID Cards.  Come to get your ID printed on paper in the general office.

On Thursday we will celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day. We invite all our students to join us for the day for some wonderful activities as we explore the beauty of Indigenous cultures and traditions. 

Today is your last day to return any band instruments and drum sticks to one of the band rooms. IF they are not returned by the end of the day today, your PowerSchool will be charged.

Finally, you will be returning to your homerooms in block 6 to return your lock to your homeroom teacher. If you are leaving early today, be sure to drop your lock off before you go!

Junior High Students, you will be clearing out your lockers tomorrow (Tuesday). You will be returning your locks to your homeroom teachers. There will be a locker clean out later today, be sure to take home as much as you can to avoid carrying too much home tomorrow!  

JH Braided Journeys Students and Allies – you will meet Kailee in room 118 for lunch this week on your scheduled days!  

If you have musical instruments or drumsticks that belong to our school, please return them to one of the band rooms right away.

Change can be both exciting and challenging. Moving on to a new grade, leaving your school, or graduating brings new opportunities—but it can also bring worry, stress, or even sadness. 

Healthy ways to cope include setting small goals, celebrating your achievements, and leaning on your support system. Keep connections with friends and mentors, and remember to take care of yourself along the way. 

Moving forward is a journey, and it’s okay to take it one step at a time. You are capable, resilient, and ready for what’s next.

The Spring Dance Showcase is tonight at 7:00 at the Westbury Theatre! Please come out and support the talented dancers we have at LSL!

There will be a JV and Varsity Girls Volleyball tryout for next year tomorrow right after school from 3:30-5 pm.  

This week, the JH Student Union will be selling skittles for $2 in the foyer to help raise funds for YESS, an Edmonton based youth support program. Make sure to stop by to help kids in need!
